Rich & Cheesy Turkey Burgers

2 cups green cabbage, thinly shredded
1/4 small red onion, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
2 teaspoons pepper, divided
1-1/2 teaspoons salt, divided
1-1/2 pounds ground turkey
1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
1 cup Artichoke & Jalapeño Dip, Cheesy Artichoke Dip, divided; Or try with any of our Classic or our Greek Yogurt Dips & Spreads
4 hamburger buns, split

In a large bowl, combine cabbage, onion, parsley, oil, lemon juice, 1 teaspoon pepper and 1/2 teaspoon salt; set aside.

In another large bowl, gently combine turkey, panko, remaining 1 teaspoon pepper, remaining 1 teaspoon salt and 1/4 cup dip. Shape mixture into four patties about 3/4-inch thick.

Prepare grill to medium-high and lightly oil grate. Grill patties until cooked through, 4 to 5 minutes per side. During last minute of cooking, place buns on grill, cut side down, to lightly toast.

Spread remaining 3/4 cup of dip on bottom halves of buns. Top with patties, slaw mixture and bun tops and serve.

Chef’s Notes: To save time, use store-bought shredded cabbage or slaw mix.

You can also cook the patties on the stovetop—use a large skillet over medium heat and about a tablespoon of cooking oil.
